1. Begin with a simple one-word search.
   (e.g. "Communication" = 51 total resources where 13 are books and 38 are websites.)

   Then try a two or three word search to identify fewer resources more targeted to your interest.

   (e.g. "Public Communication" = 7 total resources where 2 are books and 5 are websites.)

   (e.g. "Organizational Communication" = 1 total resources where 1 are books and 0 are websites.)

Advanced options provide the opportunity to change default search settings.

1. Enter multiple search criteria by using a comma (",") between terms.
   (e.g. "Public, Communication" = 51 total resources where 13 are books and 38 are websites.)

   Change keywords boolean from "Or (Any)" to "And (All)" for resources that match all multiple keywords.

   (e.g. "Public, Communication + And (All)" = 19 total resources where 4 are books and 15 are websites.)

   Identify the type of information you want searched (Career, Job Search, Graduate School, Employer or Professional Associations Information)

   (e.g. "Public, Communication + Job Search Info" = 37 total resources where 6 are books and 31 are websites.)

   Specifically identify whether you want only books or websites.

   (e.g. "Public, Communication + Websites" = 38 websites.)
